General Information:

• Stipa arundinacea, commonly known as Pheasant’s Tail Grass, is an ornamental grass with arching, bronze-green foliage that turns orange in autumn.

Flowering Time:

• Blooms in mid to late summer with airy, feathery flower heads.

Soil Type:

• Prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil.

Position:

• Thrives in full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.

Height and Spread:

• Grows 2-3 feet tall and spreads 2-3 feet wide.

Top Tips:

• Cut back old foliage in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth. Drought-tolerant once established. Suitable for borders and naturalistic plantings.⬤
