General Information:

  • Digitalis Carillon, or Foxglove, is a biennial with tubular flowers in various colors, native to Europe and parts of Asia.

Flowering Time:

  • Blooms in late spring to early summer, providing vertical accents in the garden.

Soil Type:

  • Thrives in well-drained, acidic to neutral soil with good moisture retention.

Position:

  • Preferably planted in partial shade to full sun, sheltered from strong winds.

Height and Spread:

  • Height ranges from 3 to 5 feet with a spread of 1 to 2 feet, depending on species and cultivar.

Top Tips:

  • Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming.
  • Provide support for tall stems to prevent toppling.
  • Watch for self-seeding; remove unwanted seedlings to control spread.
